Well this week I went for the top.

Set off from Hanley Swan, past the Three Counties and up to the Cottage in the Wood off the Wells Road.

Went past the Cottage in the Wood and turned right onto a track that led up to the Wyche. Excellent ride through the trees and very muddy in places after all that rain.

Went onto the road at the Wyche and over the top and turned right and went up through the car parks and along the ridge. Carried on up towards the Beacon stopped just short of the peak and turned back.

Came down the narrow tracks just off the the left of the ridge, whoaaaa and back down almost retracing my tracks all the way back to work ;-)

Nice ride in the sun, lungs burning, legs burning. Now for a nice sit in the office for the afternoon.

Must get some windsurfing done though, may go to Rutland or Draycote tommorrow.
